Sauk City, WI, (AgPR), Feb. 9, 2015 - McFarlane Mfg. Co. is introducing the INCITE™ 5000 Series tillage tools at the 2015 National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY. Building on their reputation as innovators in the tillage industry, McFarlane’s INCITE™ is the first ever Universal Tillage™ machine. It offers the unique ability to perform in a wide range of conditions, spring or fall, by providing features and adjustability that can’t be found anywhere else. “Achieving the optimum seedbed has never been easier or faster,” states Stan McFarlane, Owner of McFarlane. “Our number one goal in designing the INCITE™ was to provide the flexibility to adjust to different soil types and conditions from field-to-field and from year-to-year.” The versatility of this tool allows the operator to accomplish on a single pass what once could take multiple passes with different machines.” The new tool has the flexibility to adjust to different soil types and crops such as corn, beans, and wheat. The INCIZOR™ blades are manufactured by Ingersoll but are exclusive to McFarlane. The 28 wave concave blades made from Ingersoll’s proprietary Boron Alloy Steel are designed to be versatile enough for both high speed operation at shallow depths or up to 6” for more traditional disc work. Available in working widths from 14’ to 40’, the INCITE™ is loaded with innovative, user-friendly design features such as the Universal Tillage™ Selector that allows for on-the-go hydraulic adjustment of disc gang angles to 3, 6, or 9 degrees. The 7-blade, 18” diameter open center DURA-REEL™ offers hydraulic height adjustment from the disc blade depth to 8” above. McFarlane’s proven 3-Bar Flexible Tooth Harrow in combination with the High Carbon 8-Flat Bar Rolling Basket, both offering setting flexibility, will accommodate a broad range of soil and residue conditions to provide a finished seedbed. “The extensive field–testing that was conducted with the INCITE™ really brought to light the tool’s potential for having a positive economic impact on an operation,” adds Norm Burgeson, Sales Manager at McFarlane. “The INCITE™ accomplishes what other tillage tools can’t and offers solutions to growers looking to accomplish more with a single pass or to reduce the number of tools needed in the shed.”
